David Stanbridge
Farr 6000 Series
The David Stanbridge Farr 6000 Trophy is sailed as part of the CBBC Red Top Sprint Series. The first Farr 6000 across the line wins that race, most wins out of six races wins the Dave Stanbridge Trophy.
General:
To be raced within the Red Top Regatta Sprint Series on the First Sunday of each month throughout the racing season (October to May) with no additional entry fee.
Individual races will be sailed under the control of the Clayton Bay Boat Club as directed by its Red Top Sprint Series Sailing Instructions.
There will be six races with one discard.
No handicaps; a simple first past the post race.
Entry in one race is deemed to be entry in the series.
Scoring:
First Farr 6000 across the finish line in the Red Top Sprint Series Race gains 1 point
Second Farr 6000 across the finish line gains 2 points
Third Farr 6000 across the finish line gains 3 point and so on.
DNF gains the total number of Farr 6000s in the race plus 1 point.
DNS gains the total number of Farr 6000s in the race plus 2 points.
Prizes:
Winner of each race buys a bottle of Red Wine for the winner of the next race.
Winner of the series wins the Dave Stanbridge Trophy. (Note the trophy is a perpetual trophy and remains at the CBBC clubrooms. An engraved plaque will be attached. A replica will be awarded to the series winner.)
